Pawcatuck River Curling Club takes on Scotland.
The Pawcatuck River Curling Club traveled to Scotland for its first European curling event at the Kinross International Bonspiel. The event is taking place this week starting on Friday September 25th through Sunday September 27th.
Our Fighting Plovers started play on Friday morning against the Fulehung Curlers from Switzerland. It was a competitive match, but the Plovers were defeated with a score of 9-4 as the Swiss team didn't show many holes in their game but great precision as they knifed their way to victory.
Match number 2 found them playing team Musketeers. The Musketeers were taking no prisoners, but they did travel smoothly across the frozen sheet in dominating fashion. Our Fighting Plovers succumbed to the constant shot making and were defeated in match 2.
We look forward to seeing what Day 2 will bring for our PRCC Fighting Plovers.
